Overton County Recovery Court serves the individual by treating the whole person.

 

Our program is structured to provide you the opportunity to learn more about your addiction, form new habits, and make a lasting change.

Eligibility & Benefits


 

Eligibility

 
  • Be over the age of 18.

  • Be a resident of Overton County.

  • Have been convicted of a misdemeanor or have a pending violation of probation in Overton County General Sessions Court.

  • Have no pending criminal charges in other courts or jurisdictions.

  • Have no recent history of violent convictions.

  • Be in need of treatment for a substance use or co-occurring disorder.


 

Benefits

Many of our participants are able to:

  • Avoid incarceration and possibly receive a waiver of court costs.

  • Receive treatment for substance use and/or co-occurring disorders.

  • Increase job skills and gain improved living conditions through education and housing support.

  • Improve relationships with friends and family members.

  • Give back through community service.


Program Structure


The Overton County Recovery Court is structured into four unique phases and is designed to guide you to your goal of recovery.

  • Objectives: Begin abstinence and chemical dependency treatment, develop trigger awareness, and identify your outside support system.

    Key Points:

    • At least 30 days

    • Develop case plan

    • Weekly meetings with Recovery Court Case Manager

    • Court appearances twice per month

    • Random drug testing multiple times per week

    • Comply with treatment and any recommended support meetings

    • Comply with rules of supervision and meet with probation officer monthly.

    • 9:00PM Curfew

  • Objectives: Continued abstinence, establishment of recovery, and development of educational and/or vocational goals.

    Key Points:

    • Minimum of 60 days

    • Court appearances twice per month

    • Engaged with treatment and any recommended support meetings

    • Demonstrate changing people, places, and things

    • Random drug testing multiple times per week

    • Must have stable employment or be enrolled in school and/or an alternative approved program.

    • Monthly home visits

    • Address any financial and medical issues

    • Curfew of 9:00 PM

  • Objectives: Continue abstinence, pursuit of education and/or vocation goals, and connecting with the community at large.

    Key Points:

    • Minimum of 90 days

    • Court appearances once per month

    • Engaged with treatment and any recommended support meetings

    • Random drug testing multiple times per week

    • Comply with rules of supervision and meet with probation officer monthly.

    • Review case plan

    • Bi-monthly office visits with a case manager

    • Monthly home visits

    • Maintain housing

    • Address financial issues

    • Address life skills - Attend Life in Balance classes

    • Begin criminal thinking program

    • Establish a recovery network

    • Address medical issues

    • Demonstrate changing people, places, and things

    • Attend pro-social activities

    • 9:00 PM Curfew

  • Objectives: Continued abstinence, pursuit of successful completion of Recovery Court, and maintaining a strong connection with the community at large.

    Key Points:

    • Minimum 90 days

    • Court appearances once per month

    • Engaged with treatment and any recommended support meetings

    • Random drug testing multiple times per week

    • Comply with rules of supervision and meet with probation officer monthly.

    • Review case plan

    • Bi-monthly office visits with a case manager

    • Home visits, as needed

    • Maintain housing

    • Addressing financial issues

    • Address life skills - Attend Life in Balance classes

    • Continue criminal thinking program

    • Establish a recovery network

    • Address medical issues

    • Begin job or vocational training, job search or school, as needed

    • Address ancillary services (i.e. parenting, family support)

    • Demonstrate changing people, places, and things

    • Attend pro-social activities

    • 9:00 PM Curfew

  • • Minimum 90 days

    • Court appearances once per month

    • Engaged with treatment and any recommended support meetings

    • Random drug testing multiple times per week

    • Comply with rules of supervision and meet with probation officer monthly.

    • Review case plan

    • Bi-monthly office visits with a case manager

    • Home visits, as needed

    • Maintain housing

    • Addressing financial issues

    • Address life skills - Attend Life in Balance classes

    • Complete criminal thinking program

    • Develop a continuing care plan

    • Establish a recovery network

    • Address medical issues

    • Maintain employment, vocational training, or school

    • Address ancillary services (i.e. parenting, family support)

    • Demonstrate changing people, places, and things

    • Attend pro-social activities

    • 9:00 PM Curfew

  • In Order to Graduate, an OCRC participant must demonstrate:

    • Engaged with treatment

    • Articulate continuing care plan

    • Compliance with supervision

    • Maintain pro-social activities

    • Maintain recovery network

    • Address medical issues

    • Maintain employment, vocational training, or school

    • Address ancillary services

    • Minimum of 90 consecutive days of negative drug screens

Support Services

Family Support

Just like each of our clients is unique and requires individualized care, there is a family member, caregiver, or loved one that is also in need of support.

 

Recovery Support

Our program offers a variety of services that are designed to assist individuals with their substance use and/or mental health issues. Recovery Support services are available and integrated throughout programming.
